Buff Cria (baby alpaca) roving. This fiber was given to me from a spinner who had a business of purchasing local fleeces and having them processed. I don't have a lot of information about it, but I know the spinner focused on high quality fiber.
This roving (which could be top? The fibers are mostly aligned in one direction), is a gorgeous caramel color with lighter, creamer areas. It is very, very soft, and has a staple length of about 2.5 inches. The fiber is also very clean: there is no visible VM (vegetable matter) or other debris.
