September is National Mushroom Month, established by the US Dept of Agriculture to highlight the fun and benefits of mushrooms! There are foraging events and festivals throughout the US. I'll admit that I went to college to become a naturalist, but Turkey Tail is the only fungus represented in this yarn that I can reliably identify! But even if I don't know their names, it is always magical to come across mushrooms in the world.
