Fall Zinnias are a favorite in pollinator gardens and landscaping. Five even stripes in the colors of vibrant flowers with random white stripes (or gray on Yak) in between. The sample sock in the first photo has been made by purling the white stitches when they are encountered on the needles.
Even stripes in Orange, Yellow, Mauve, Red, Deep Purple
Please see the last photo for how the colorway looks on Yak. The stipes are more subdued and heathered and the undyed spaces in between are a natural gray color.
This yarn is ready to ship, but if you'd like to add a 25g mini skein, we can dye one for you! The default color is the Red. The other colors in this yarn are available upon request. Just a leave a note in your cart with which color you'd like. Would you like your yarn cranked into a sock tube so you just have to add heels, toes and cuffs? Check out information on our cranking service!
The IRREGULAR Yak skein is split into a 90g skein and a 10g mini.
Yarn is available on FIVE bases. Corriedale is a thinner, sturdy yarn. It's more toothy and comparable to a hard-wearing yarn like Regia or Opal. Both Targhee bases are plump and can be knit to a tight gauge. Targhee is soft like Merino. Our Merino base is thicker than many sock yarns. The Merino/Yak is very soft and slightly shiny.

Yarn is dyed and heat set with professional acid dyes. All effort is made to exhaust the dyes, but some color bleeding may occur on initial washings. Cold water is recommended. Multiple skeins are available under this listing and, due to the nature of hand dying, colors may vary slightly from the yarn pictured.
