I am preparing to vend at The Fiber Event in Greencastle, Indiana in mid-April and the next shop update will follow that event. I'm sorry the shop is empty! Between the clubs and my farm responsibilities, I don't have as much time as I'd like for dyeing wool. I hope you find it is worth the wait!
My batts are made for lovers of all wools - not just Merino! They have texture and a diversity of fibers including long wools. All materials (except any angelina/sparkle) are derived from animals. There are no synthetic fibers such as nylon or rayon/bamboo.
Wool top is dyed with professional acid dyes and then carded into batts. The uniform direction of the fiber is mostly maintained for worsted spinning (can be considered blended top) - or, spin "over the fold" for a more woolen yarn. All care is taken to ensure dyes are exhausted and fast, but some color bleeding may occur during initial washings.
