Scrappy black, white, gray, and red stripes - a dramatic combination. Each bag is unique! The bag is pictured here with two 100g skeins of wool and is perfect for medium projects up to 3 or 4 skeins. These bags are slightly thicker and more structural than my other bags. The strips have been foundation pieced on fabric which adds a third layer of fabric. Though the bags are not quilted, they have the feel of a favorite blanket.
Note! Foundation piecing is a new skill for me, and I missed a seam on one bag (as shown in the last photo). I've embroidered over the seam and that bag has been discounted.
The bags are made with scraps of quilters cotton and have a pieced interior. There are no exposed seams. Fabric ties are used as a drawstring and can be knotted together to form a loop for easy carrying. The bags can stand up with yarn inside them, but are easy to squish into a purse or other bag.
Bags measure approximately 11 inches wide and 11 inches tall. The bottom is gusseted to give the bag structure.
Completed bags are washed and dried in a machine and then ironed. Because of this, and their scrappy composition, the bags have a cozy, broken-in look and feel.
