Five stripes of dark, saturated colors inspired by the potatoes we grow on our farm. Name is based on a really bad joke (below).

Even stripes of:
Dark Red Norland
Kennebec
Adirondack Blue
Peter Wilcox (purple)
Annuschka (creamy yellow)

Bad joke: A king and queen potato had a son who went out into the world and came back one day saying he had great news! He was going to marry Katie Couric. "You can't marry Katie Couric," the King potato said. "You are a Prince potato and she is a commentator." (groan! See? Bad joke. The yarn is really great, though!!)

These skeins are made by a mill that does not add knots when processing the yarn, but does splice together individual plies. If you encounter one of these splices, you can just continue working with the yarn without doing anything special to it. The splices are strong and usually not noticeable in the finished work.

Yarn is dyed and heat set with professional acid dyes. All effort is made to exhaust the dyes, but some color bleeding may occur on initial washings. Cold water is recommended.

Multiple skeins are available under this listing and, due to the nature of hand dying, colors may vary slightly from the yarn pictured.
