Battvent begins tomorrow!! Are you ready? Or have you already started opening packages??? I won’t tattle…

There are a few crafts included with Battvent that have helpful photo tutorials. I’ll be linking to them here on the appropriate days. They are super fun, and totally worth checking out, even if you don’t have a Battvent calendar.

To get you started, here’s some information on the food packaging postcards that held the welcome message for the Winter Woodlands boxes. I learned that you can turn most food packaging cardboard into postcards about a year ago and have been obsessively turning every box that comes into our house into fun mail. I’ve sent and received dozens of cards, and can thus confirm that the post office will deliver them.

I use a paper cutter and make 4x6 inch rectangles. Adding stickers or washi tape is my favorite part! I jot a quick note on the back, or draw a whimsical sketch, and then address to a friend. Just add a postcard stamp (I think they are 32 or 33 cents?) and drop it in the mail! It’s such a quick and easy way to deliver a bit of sunshine to someone’s mailbox – and it’s basically free!
